BEDS BEDS AND MORE BEDS

MY DAY MONDAY WAS SPENT PREPAIRING AND PAINTING BEDS FOR MY SHOP. YOU SEE WE HAVE HAD A RUN ON BEDS , SO IF IT'S BEDS YOU WANT IT IS BEDS I WILL GET FOR YOU. I PAINTED A TOTAL OF 6 BEDS ON MONDAY, YEAH WE HAVE BEDS........

THIS GREAT BED YOU SEE ABOVE DID NOT GET FINISHED. YOU SEE WE HAD A LITTLE MISSING HARDWARE ISSUE. BUT, THE PROBLEM WILL BE TAKEN CARE OF AND YOU WILL BE ABLE TO SEE THIS BED IN THE SHOP VERY SOON.

 THIS BEAUTY IS NOW IN THE SHOP DRESSED AND READY TO SELL.

WHERE IT ALL ENDS UP

THE PICTURES ABOVE ARE WHERE I PLACE THE FURNITURE I RE-DO. THIS IS WHAT IT IS ALL ABOUT,THIS IS WHAT I LOVE TO DO. WHEN I FINISH ALL THE SANDING,PAINTING ETC., THE FURNITURE IS LOADED ON MY TRAILER AND I TAKE IT TO "MY" STORE, OR SHOULD I SAY MY DREAM COME TRUE. THE PLACE WHERE I CAN DECORATE AND CREATE EVERY DAY. WHEN YOU SEE THE INSIDE OF MY SHOP IT IS LIKE YOU ARE REALLY LOOKING INSIDE MY HEAD. IT IS YEARS AND YEARS OF DREAMS ALL PUT TOGETHER IN ONE PLACE. IT IS LIKE A CHILD I GAVE BIRTH TO, AND I HAVE BEEN RAISING IT AND CARING FOR IT FOR OVER 5 YEARS NOW. WITH EACH PASSING DAY IT GETS BETTER AND BETTER, IT MATURES AND GROWS LIKE A WELL FED CHILD. I LOVE MY STORE AND I AM, AS YOU CAN TELL, VERY PROUD OF IT. READY SET RE-PURPOSE

 7:00am Off to Home Depot need more supplys before I start.

 9:00am arrive home and put all furniture I plan to paint out on driveway . Then remove all hardware and clean insides of all pieces.

 Next, is the sanding, and a lot of it. When sanding is completed, all pieces have to be wiped down and cleaned really good in preparation for the paint. There can't be any sand dust or dirt on the furniture, or the paint finish will not be smooth.

 In my garage I have set up an area where all my tools,paints and everything I need is at my disposal. I always make sure I have all I will need before I start.

 Like the mask, used when , I feel it is needed , due to lead paint or the wind in my direction.

 I have many of these clamps. I always make every piece of furniture that I re-do is repaired and in house ready condition. I only put items in my shop that I would put in my own house. Below you will see the result of a really long day.

 Well it is almost 6:00pm and 4 of the stages to completion have been done. Tomorrow is another day and I will finish what I started.  OH, by the way, below, this is what happens when you wear flip flops when you paint. Sometimes the personal clean up takes longer then the work clean up.

WHERE IT ALL HAPPENS

THIS IS WHERE THE OLD IS GIVEN NEW LIFE. AT MY HOME IN MY DRIVEWAY. MY HUSBAND HAS GIVEN UP ON THE DREAM OF HAVING A NORMAL BLACK DRIVEWAY, IT JUST CAN'T BE.  BELOW YOU CAN SEE WHERE I GO WHEN WEATHER IS BAD. I HAVE A MAKESHIFT PAINT BOOTH IN MY HUSBANDS MANCAVE.
